• Phone number — required for account creation and login via OTP
• Display name — chosen by you, visible to other users
• Email address — optional, for account recovery
• Listing content — titles, descriptions, photos you upload
• Messages — communications between users on the platform
• Device information and IP address — for security and fraud prevention
• Location data — city-level only, as selected by you

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Provide and operate the TikWall platform
• Verify your identity via SMS OTP
• Display your listings to other users
• Enable communication between buyers and sellers
• Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
• Improve platform performance and user experience

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties
• We do not share your phone number publicly without your consent
• We do not send unsolicited marketing communications
• We do not track your location without your permission

4. Data Sharing

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With SMS service providers (Twilio) solely to send verification codes
• When required by Canadian law or a valid court order
• To protect the safety of users or the public

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Listings are retained for 60 days after expiry. Messages are retained for 12 months.

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent and request deletion of your account and data

We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

We use session cookies for authentication and preference storage only. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and OTP-based authentication. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.

10. Children's Privacy

TikWall is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
